Whatever was wrong with my vehicle had been going on for some time..and it was getting worse. There seemed to be a loss of power. I was seeing white smoke..or steam coming from the exhaust. I was losing engine coolant and when I filled the radiator and had the engine running..there were bubbles erupting through the coolant. There should never ever be bubbles coming out of my coolant !

Depending on how much you ride, you should get a complete overhaul at least annually in which your bike is disassembled, inspected, and all components are cleaned, adjusted, lubricated, and replaced as needed.

Worked out great so far, but know this: You will need three different drive socket sizes. # 1/4″ drive socket sizes – 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 5.5, 6mm x Length 37mm. # 3/8″ drive -7, 8, 9, 10, 12mm x 48mm L. # 1/2″ drive – 14mm x 55mm L. Make sure you have them.

You may not be a mechanic, but your trunk should always have a spare tire and a jack at the very least. Most vehicles come with them, but you want to check anyway. You wouldn’t want to get a simple flat and have to shell out lots of money to a tow truck. It is much easier and inexpensive to do it yourself.

Pliers are also a must have, locking, adjustable, needle nose and flat nose. Side cutters are something you are going to want to have as well. Several sizes of adjustable wrenches are also a must. If you do any type of wiring repair you will need wire strippers, crimpers and electrical tape. You will always need a hammer as well as Best Torque Wrench Under 100.

However, if you don’t have breakdown cover and you get a flat tire, you either have to pay out to get someone to come and change the tire for you, or you do it yourself. It can seem a bit daunting, but all cars come with a spare tire and the equipment needed to change the tire, so it can be done. Only problem is how do you do it?
